The Cultural Management studyprogram at the University of Basel, has surveyed around 1,000 artists and cultural professionals about their professionalization in comission by Migros Culture Percentage Sparx. This revealed key challenges of today’s professional reality. The study shows that topics such as multiple employment, financial insecurity, and institutional recognition concern artists and cultural professionals across all age groups. Migros Culture Percentage Sparx gives an insight on the key findings of the report, complements them with in-depth data on the music scene, and discusses their application in its own funding practices.
