RIM HARRABI

Rim Harrabi is a Tunisian documentary filmmaker, visual artist, and cultural practitioner, currently based in Basel. In 2025, she completed her essay documentary Passengers, which premiered at Jihlava IDFF 2025. Her earlier co-directed films with the women’s collective Mouatheqat have been screened at festivals including FESPACO, Oberhausen Short Film Festival, and Medfilm Festival. Beyond film, Rim is a curator of music compilations and organizes residencies and music events in Tunisia and beyond. She hosts the monthly radio show SARAB on Radio Sygma, dedicated to experimental and regional music from the MENA area. She is also an active member of several artistic collectives, and co-founded two initiatives: Transmitting Stones, a platform facilitating musical exchange between Tunisia, Algeria, and Switzerland, and Erratic Boulders, a Basel-based sound art association. Within the latter, she curated Inlandquake #TN, a compilation highlighting Tunisia's experimental music scene and organized a related Swiss tour featuring five Tunisian musicians.
