Sonja Maier, Austrian singer and guitarist in the rock band BAITS, regularly tours Europe regularly alongside her job as an English teacher in a Viennese secondary school. She was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the ‘Hard & Heavy’ category in 2023 and 2024 and hosts the alternative radio show ‘FM4 House of Pain’ every month. She describes her own sound as ‘extra-snotty pop’ but loves everything, especially the niches beyond the mainstream.
