ALEXANDER BÜCHELI

Alexander Bücheli lead the city's nightlife-prevention initiartive saferparty.ch between 2001 and 2015. In this capacity, he significantly advanced the development of mobile drug-checking services and the Drug Information Center (DIZ). He is also a co-founder of the associations Safer Clubbing Schweiz, the Bar & Club Commission Zurich, and the Swiss Bar and Club Commission. Since 2015, Bücheli has worked as an independent consultant for networks such as Safer Dance Swiss, Safer Nightlife Schweiz, and Safer Clubbing Schweiz, as well as a lobbyist for the Bar & Club Commission Zurich, the Swiss Bar and Club Commission, and PromoterSuisse. He is a curator for the "NIGHTS – Stadt nach Acht" conference and the Zurich Music Week, as well as the initiator of IG Zürcher Gastfreundschaft and contributed to the 2023 Stuttgart study on nightlife economics, as well as the 2024/25 potential analysis of clubs and music venues in Freiburg, Germany.
