Sandro Bernasconi has been active as a musician, curator, and cultural creator for more than two decades, passionately advocating for club culture and club sounds. For over twelve years, he managed the music program at Kaserne Basel and co-founded the Polyfon Festival, which he shaped as artistic director from 2009 to 2021. Before dedicating himself to curatorial and organizational work in the music sector, Bernasconi was active as a musician and DJ.
In 2022, he was a co-founder of the transdisciplinary Landskron Festival. In the same year, he initiated the platforms Sable & Chaux and Transmitting Stones together with partners from Switzerland, Algeria, and Tunisia. These platforms focus on exchange projects, residencies, and research formats in collaboration with musicians and cultural creators from the three countries. Since 2025, Sandro Bernasconi has been leading the music program at Kuppel Basel.
