Join the festival crew

On Friday and Saturday, 22 and 23 March 2024, the m4music festival will take place at Schiffbau, Zurich. We are looking for volunteers again this year. Would you like to go behind the scenes, get up close with bands and experts, actively support the organisers and be part of the m4music team?

Operational Areas

REQUIREMENTS

You should be punctual, reliable, at least 18 years old and speak German and/or English.

SHIFT TIMES

The average duration of a shift is 5–7 hours. We are looking for support in the following areas.

THANK YOU

In return, we offer you a 2-day festival pass and food vouchers on your working day.

Helpers who work on Sunday receive a supplement of CHF 30.00 per hour.

Operational areas

SET-UP AND DISMANTLING

Thursday 21.03. and Sunday 24.03.2024

SIGNAGE
You do not need any special knowledge for this task. Your task will be to put up signs, notices and directions on the festival site on the set-up day and remove them on the dismantling day.

FURNISHINGS & LOGISTICS
You don't need any technical experience or special knowledge, but you should be fit and able. You support the infrastructure team in setting up and dismantling event furnishings. Important: please bring good shoes, a rain jacket and gloves!

TECHNICAL OPERATIONS (open-air stage)
You don't need any technical experience or special knowledge, but you should be fit and able. The job involves supporting the stage builders in setting up and dismantling the open-air stage. Important: please bring good shoes, a rain jacket and gloves!

TECHNICAL SUPPORT (audio, video, lighting) + CATERING
Technical experience or special knowledge is not necessary in these fields. This job entails rolling cases with technical equipment from one place to another and supporting the catering team with various tasks on the set-up day. Important: please bring good shoes, a rain jacket and gloves!

FESTIVAL

Friday 22.03. and Saturday 23.03.2024

INFORMATION STAND
You will be briefed and informed. The job involves providing visitors with information about the festival grounds or program items.

RUNNER
In this job, you are mainly in the backstage artist area. The tasks are varied. It is important that you are flexible and enjoy working with people. You find it easy to communicate with artists in English.

SUPERVISION
You do not need any special knowledge for this task. You support the supervisory staff (security) by guarding restricted areas and/or being jointly responsible for admission to concerts. Important: please bring a rain jacket!

HEADSET OUTPUT
You hand out a headset to visitors if required. You are then responsible for taking back and cleaning the headsets.

COUNTERS
In this job, you support the admission staff by counting visitors in the halls before and after the concert using a hand counter.
