Pina Palau loves all things unsuitable, contradictory and awkward. Her debut album "Illusion" sounds like a collection of short stories: The Zurich singer-songwriter describes the poetry of situations that we all know all too well. She takes listeners on a journey to the alpine valleys and the American West, combines folk with rock and indie, and melancholic harmonica with distorted guitar riffs, and is reminiscent of artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Big Thief, and yet remains very unique. "Illusion" was released under the label Mouthwatering Records and produced together with Mario Hänni, also known from Mnevis or as the ex-drummer of Sophie Hunger and Pablo Nouvelle.
