Out of all submitted tracks 60 Selected Artists make it into the Live Sessions of the Demotape Clinic at the m4music Festival. As a radar for new Swiss music, the Demotape Clinic is one of the most important newcomer competitions in Switzerland and has established itself as a talent scout for the industry. In the Live Session, the up-and-coming talents will now face the jury's judgement, receive tangible tips and tricks for their musical careers and have the chance to win "FONDATION-SUISA-Awards" worth 3000 Swiss francs per category. Finally, the best demos will be awarded on Saturday evening at the Award Show in the five categories Pop, Rock, Electronic, Lyrics & Beats and, for the first time, in the new category Out of Genre. The most promising newcomer among the five winners will also receive 5000 Swiss francs in prize money for the "Demo of the Year".
