The self-proclaimed “princess of techno-pop” has pledged nothing less than the conquest of Paris in her neon-hued manifesto, and there’s no doubt: today Paris, tomorrow the world. Sam Quealy left the back of beyond, Australia, as a teenager to work as a professional dancer in Hong Kong, America and the Philippines. She finally settled in Paris, where she has become an artist and celebrated nightlife in all of its facets ever since. Her journey has taken her to the Parisian ballroom scene and the legendary “House of Comme des Garçons”; it has seen her curate her own art exhibitions and sing together with producer Marlon Magnee from the cult band La Femme.
